About
MOSHI 1958 House of Fine Jewelry
Atelier | The Heritage of Timeless handcrafted Jewelry
Moshi 1958's establishment traces back to Japan's mid-20th century, when Shaoul Moshi, then a young and aspiring Jeweler, and his two brothers started exporting Japanese cultured pearls to the U.S.
In 1968, Shaoul and his family moved to New-York city to set his Jewelry business there. The NYC office was located in the heart of Manhattan's Jewelry district and operated there for ten years. Then, Eli Moshi, Shaoul's son and second-generation Jeweler of the Moshi family started Business Management studies in New-York. After he got his B.A., he enrolled in the Gemological Institute of America-GIA, Los-Angeles, to study diamonds and diamond classification.
After operating for a great while in New-York, Shaoul sensed that the Jewelry market had growth potential, and opportunities in the U.S West-Coast were emerging. Therefore he decided to open the L.A. office, which, at this point, incorporated the whole family - Shaoul's wife and their five children. The company gained its recognition by selling fine Jewelry and pearls to private clients and retailers. It reached its peak when working with the most sought-after department stores in the U.S., as the likes of Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and more.
In March 2020, the Moshi family lost their most significant business asset - Shaul Moshi - its founder and beating heart. But with the re-establishment of their activity in Israel by Eli Moshi and the rebranding of the company by Creative director Sharon Moshi, a third generation of the jewelers' house, the business is remaining a namesake for fine-designed, high-end jewelry sold to end customers as well as retailers from their offices in Los Angeles, U.S., and Herzliya, Israel.
To this day, MOSHI 1958 imports gems, pearls, consciously-sourced diamonds alongside custom lab-grown diamonds and creates luxurious jewelry known for its timeless yet fashionable design. And like a fine jewelry house, it's proud to be known for its prestigious aesthetics, refined taste, high-end craftsmanship, and the significant sentiment of sustaining the environment. All while creating lifetime value jewelry based on a heritage of family, love, culture, design, and nature.
